In my quest to reuse and recycle, I have come up with ‘Kabadiwali’. For this range of functional art glass, I have upcycled the humble glass bottle. It is an attempt to find beauty in the unexpected and I feel that the challenge is to transform society’s undesirable waste into something that is functional and aesthetically pleasing. I like to conjure up alternative uses to ordinary things.

 Used and discarded glass bottles, of all types, form and color have been collected and sorted. The shape and color of the bottles often decides what the final product is going to be. The bottles are then put through a grueling process of being cut, drilled, etched, melted, manipulated and shaped to be reborn as dishes, clocks, platters, candle shelters, napkin holders, planters, wind chimes and more.
